Pride Ball
September 1997
The first Pride Ball was held in 1997, soon after the first Birmingham Pride. The event was initially setup to fund the subsequent years festival. Taking place at the International Convention Centre on Broad Street it sends a powerful symbol to the wider city and adds visibility to the gay community.
